VEGA AND C-TECH TOGETHER FOR A COMPLETE LINE AUTOMATION

A new collaboration is born for the automation of folder-gluer production lines

2025 begins with a significant innovation in the folding and gluing machine sector: a close collaboration between Vega Srl and C-Tech, two brilliant companies combining their expertise to deliver state-of-the-art solutions in industrial automation. This project marks a decisive step towards fully automated production lines, blending technology, innovation, and customization.

At the heart of this synergy is the integration of the renowned Vega Altair folder-gluer machine, in its latest GT version, with C-Tech's Feeder Robot, an advanced automatic feeding system. This combination achieves an extremely high level of efficiency and precision, completing the process with C-Tech’s automatic collector
the Robopacker and the Palletizer of C-Tech. Together, these technologies form a fully automated line capable of optimizing time, resources, and the quality of the final product.

Innovation and customization: the strength of this close collaboration

One of Vega’s distinctive features is its ability to adapt its machines to the specific needs of each customer. This tailor-made approach extends to customizing not only the extra devices and modules installed on the folder-gluer machines but also the software systems that control them. Thanks to this flexibility, Vega machines integrate perfectly with C-Tech’s Feeder Robot, Robopacker and Palletizer, ensuring smooth and effective communication between the different components of the line.

The Feeder Robot is a technological breakthrough: designed to insert blanks into the folder gluer machine’s feeding section fully automatically, it handles straight-line boxes, crash-lock bottoms, and 4/6 corner boxes with exceptional precision. A particularly innovative feature is its ability to rotate the blanks if necessary, making this device highly versatile and perfectly compatible with the formats processed by the Vega Altair GT.

The performance tested on this line confirms the processing of more than 20.000 pieces per hour for all box formats, from straight-line to crash-lock and 4/6 corners, i.e. a production boost.

Last but not least, the Vega SPD (Supervision Production Dashboard) software system allows complete control of the entire line from a single location, further improving troubleshooting and optimising resolution times by providing a complete overview of the functionality of the entire line.
